Juventus’ Paul Pogba (30) is up for sale.
“Juventus is willing to sell Pogba if the right offer comes in,” the British media outlet ‘Daily Mail’ reported on Aug. 28 (KST), “but Pogba wants to stay with the team.”
“He suffered a nightmare of injuries last season. He made 10 appearances and played 172 minutes. He played less than two full-time matches.”
“Juventus are willing to take a loss and let Pogba, their highest paid player, leave if the right offer comes in,” Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport said.안전놀이터
“Coach Massimiliano Allegri plans to wait until the players return for pre-season training to check Pogba’s fitness,” the report added. Pogba returned from vacation early and is trying to get back to full fitness.
Will Paul Pogba leave Juventus?
Juventus announced Pogba’s return last July. He returned to his family after a six-year absence and signed a contract until June 2026.
Pogba is a very talented and dominant player in the midfield. In June 2019, his price tag was €100 million according to soccer publication Transfermarkt, so his influence was significant.
However, in recent years, Pogba’s influence has diminished. This is due to his frequent injuries. Last July, he tore his meniscus and was out for a long time. After a long rehabilitation, he returned, only to be knocked out once again. He didn”t play all season.
According to the outlet, Pogba has an annual salary of €10 million. However, he was unable to contribute to the team’s strength. With Juventus struggling financially, letting Pogba go could be a better option.
“Juventus are eyeing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio) and Cesare Cassaday (Chelsea) as possible replacements for Pogba,” says the Daily Mail, adding that “Juventus have already offered Milinkovic-Savic a four- to five-year contract”.
