Kang Chae-young recorded a total score of 61 points and an average record of 28.34 points in the ‘2023 Archery National Team 3rd Selection Competition’ recurve women’s division held at the Gwangju International Archery Field for 5 days from the 20th to the 24th, following the 2nd selection. It took first place overall.

Im Si-hyeon (Korea National Sport University) and Ansan, who won three gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics, placed second and third, respectively, and qualified for the international competition.

Ki Bo-bae, a double gold medalist at the 2012 London Olympics and gold medalist in the team event at the 2016 Rio Olympics, marked her return to the national team after six years with her overall ranking of 8th.

In the men’s division, Lee Woo-seok (Kolon) joined the national team, taking first place with an overall score of 64.5 points and an average record of 28.81 points. Kim Jae-deok and Seo Min-ki (Keimyung University), who had their debut ceremony for the adult stage through this selection, marked the 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the men’s division.

In the compound event, Kim Jong-ho (Hyundai Steel) and Oh Yoo-hyeon (Jeonbuk Provincial Office) won the first place in the men’s and women’s divisions and wore the Taegeuk mark.

In the men’s division, Yang Jae-won (Sangmu) took second place and Choi Yong-hee (Hyundai Steel) took third place. In the women’s division, So Chae-won (Hyundai Mobis) placed second and Jo Soo-ah (Hyundai Mobis)안전놀이터 ranked third.

After the third selection round, the recurve and compound archery teams selected for the national team will move to the Jincheon National Training Center on the 28th to begin training.
