The South Korean national soccer team has advanced to the round of 16 at the U-20 World Cup for the third consecutive time, regardless of the outcome of their match against Gambia on Monday.

The tournament features the top four teams from the 12 first- and second-place finishers in each group and the six third-place finishers in each group.

Of the three teams that finished the group stage, Slovakia from Group B finished with three points, while Japan from Group C finished third with three points, securing South Korea’s spot in the round of 16.
