“It’s a crisis” 1st place KGC lost to 10th place Samsung

 A crisis came to KGC, which ran first throughout the season from the beginning of the season.

Anyang KGC lost 79-82 in the 6th round of the 2022-2023 SKT Adot Pro Basketball against Seoul Samsung at Jamsil Gymnasium on the 10th. KGC maintained first place with 34 wins and 13 losses.

Manager Kim Sang-sik said안전놀이터, “I did five outs on my own, but I couldn’t even attempt a 3-point shot. I worked hard and followed to the end, but it was not enough.”

Lens Abando scored 16 points in the first half alone, boasting an 80% (8/10) field goal success rate. However, the offense did not work out well in the second half. He tried 7 field goals and scored 5. Nevertheless, Abando digested all 20 minutes.

Manager Kim Sang-sik said, “Abando asked for two minutes in the fourth quarter because he was a bit weak. However, because Omari Spellman was missing, there were not many offensive resources. Later, Abando said he would run, but he seems to have been struggling.”

Finally, “It seems to be a crisis. Spellman is also unwell. Still, there is a game against SK on the 12th, so I will prepare well.”
