Darin Ruff (37), who played for Samsung in professional baseball, was released from the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB안전놀이터).
American sports media ESPN said on the morning of the 4th (Korean time), “The Mets gave up the rough, and he couldn’t find a new team.”
From 2017 to 2019, Ruff participated in a total of 404 games with Samsung, hitting 0.313, hitting 86 homers, and 350 RBIs. Ruff, who made a comeback in Korean professional baseball, signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants in 2020 and returned to the United States.
However, Ruff suffered a slump last season and was traded to the Mets, and has not recorded a record this season.
