The South Korean men’s tennis team fell to the Czech Republic 0-3 in the second match of Group C of the 2023 Davis Cup Finals in Valencia, Spain, on Thursday (Nov. 14).

South Korea lost its first match of the tournament, 0-3, to Serbia on Dec. 12. With the loss to the Czech Republic, South Korea dropped to the bottom of the group with their second straight loss.

If Serbia wins the match between Serbia (1 win) and Spain (1 loss) on Friday, South Korea will finish second in the group and fail to advance to the quarterfinals. If Spain defeats Serbia, South Korea will have a chance to reach the quarterfinals.

If South Korea beats Spain outright in the third game and the Czech Republic holds off Serbia, South Korea will be tied with Spain and Serbia with two wins and two losses.

South Korea last faced Belgium in February for a spot in the Finals, where they pulled off a thrilling 3-2 upset to advance to the Round of 16.
